I really hate getting involved in anything on this site, as nobody listens anyway. But ^that^ is not something that anyone should ever say to another human being. How cruel! It is things like this (cyber bullying) that really do cause so many young people to commit suicide, and it is just sad. This is a forum about collecting autographs -- there is absolutely no reason to threaten one another. Just because you don't agree with something someone says doesn't give you the right to wish death upon them. Nobody deserves that. And the ones doing the threatening are the ones who should be banned from the site, not the people who are being attacked. And it is very sad that the admin does nothing to help.

Don't bother with him--he has nothing better to do than attack people and talk to himself--all those accounts are his.

To the OP...I dont think 10.00 is bad considering it also includes the photo you wanted him to send. To the other poster....I can see why the OP might not want to send the money since it has taken over 2 months for yours.

Little trevor or that Dave guy whoever you want I don't know who you mean which posters they are but if you think they are me that's fine with me I don't care at all so you just delete them in your profile and my name too and whoever else you want. But It's you that's helped run down this forum that's made it the way it is not anyone else

People can charge what they want for their signature. Doesn't make them a jerk. We have the option of paying or not paying. Simple as that. You don't feel it's worth the fee, vote with your wallet... but there's no need for name calling. Nobody owes anybody an autograph; just because (the royal) you has watched their film, bought their CD, read their book doesn't mean a thing. You're not paying their salary; the movie, record or book company is.

Call them a jerk? There are better ways to state how much one disagrees with the amount they charge (hint: look for any discussions on Buzz Aldrin's fee.) But call them a jerk, and see how soon they'll shut down on signing for anyone.

I always enjoy the occasional mention of autographs in celebrity autobiographies. Dave Winfield's original 1988 book had a brief statement on autographs where he mentions a baseball autograph seeker yelling something like "I pay your salary" to which Dave either said, or thought to himself (can't remember exactly), "If you paid my salary I'd be a poor SOB."

As autograph collectors we are in a unique position. We can watch a TV show or movie or listen to a CD and in some small way, we have a slight connection to the person we are watching or listening. As someone who has gotten a few Munchkin autographs, I can watch the movie and think "it was great to receive photos from some of those actors...I wonder if I can spot (insert name of ttm signer)..."

We are also in the position to be disappointed but with that disappointment we must separate the actor's performance from their non-signing self. If someone watches Wizard and gets pissed during the Lollipop scene, because Jerry didn't sign, they have personal problems greater than someone not signing for them.

As far as passing down autographs to kids, grandkids etc...I'd be more pissed about getting secretarials. If you have fakes in your collection now, and don't figure it out before you die, they'll be passed down and if the kids don't care for autographs they'll be sold and the buyer will have received a fake.
