She does those interviews every year in Northern California. I did see one other one but it's rare.

I don't know if you know what a hermit is, but by definition, hermits don't release CD's, under any name.

And those photos she took to promote the animal foundation? They're the ones that are being signed and mailed out. Or is that also her sec?

I'm also going to throw this out there--The only evidence of Doris Day being a recluse that I can find is in a "stupid" unauthorized biography (as said by her rep), photos of her taken by paparazzi while she was out shopping, and things written in tabloids that were revoked after she successfully sued them. Her rep denied it. So, I'm starting to wonder how factual your fact is.

Also, by definition, hermits don't read tabloids or file lawsuits. So.. Yeah. She's a horrible hermit.

She also did a phone interview for Parade Magazine a few months ago. By definition, hermits don't own phones.

Well I don't think people should mail to her regardless of if she is a hermit or not.

Tell me five celebs that use a sec that have admitted to doing so...
Britney Spears==>> 6 #1 albums. 2 diamond albums. 8 platinum albums. 400+ awards. 200M+ records sold. Britney has sold over 45 million records this decade despite only releasing three albums. Globally, Britney has more #1 singles than any other female artist except Madonna and Rihanna. "Oops!...I Did It Again" by Britney is the 5th best selling album of the 2000s decade worldwide. Britney is the only female artist to chart her first seven albums in the top two of the Billboard 200. Britney has achieved at least one #1 album in 3 different decades (90's, 00's, 10's). Britney is the first solo female artist from the 90's to reach 1 billion Spotify streams. Despite NOT even being a single, 'Tom's Diner', ft. Britney , has become Giorgio Moroders best-selling digital track. 2015 Billboard Awards ratings reached a 14-year high, with numbers peaking during Britney's performance. She IS the princess of Pop. So let me get this straight..

The facts we actually know are as follows:
1) Doris Day isn't a hermit
2) Doris Day isn't shunning her Hollywood past
3) The inscriptions have remained the same over 20+ years, only the signature has changed
4) According to her rep, she goes by her birth name Doris Kappelhoff, not Clara, but still embraces the name Doris Day

And even though those four facts (used here to actually mean facts, not that unsubstantiated bull that you wrote above) are in direct opposition to ALL the reasons you gave as to why you believe her signatures to be sec, you still believe her signatures to be sec?

It's been said that the definition of stupid is doing the same thing repeatedly and expecting a different result. I think the definition should be changed to believing that a plank on top of four pillars will remain in the air when the four pillars are pulled out from underneath it.

Wow this is really getting heated. Let's all just agree to disagree huh?
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, time to give it a rest.

And for those of us (such as myself) who have no opinion, it does nothing when people who have them can't support them.

The point of these threads is to discuss the authenticity of the signatures to decide whether they're worth the time and money to acquire them. I don't know what to believe. This other user says no, but has absolutely no solid reasoning for it. Not to mention, there's the slander aspect (I highly doubt Ms. Day or Kappelhoff or whatever would appreciate being called a hermit. In fact, I know she wouldn't, considering she sued a tabloid for $20+ million for calling her that, among other things).

But of course, this is the Internet. So, let's be like any other Internet community, where people make unsubstantiated claims based on nothing in an effort to persuade other people to their way of thinking, yet can't address those people's questions, and spread tabloid rumors about celebrities. There's no reason whatsoever this site or its users should strive to be better than that.. None at all.
