I received a signed photo from her this January and it was told to me that probably one of her relatives signs for her because of her age - it makes sense to me. Is there anyone who could tell us for sure? This is a closeup of a young Esther signing her name on an old TV show called What's My Line?
I do not post a lot here though I do follow the site daily. I find this thread rather disgusting and CJHanson you are just an obnoxious ass and you know exactly what you are doing and it's disgraceful behavior, the comments on her secretary are not needed and immature. Get a life. I am only posting because I happened to see an article today mentioning Kelly Osborne was due to meet with Esther Williams, who was apparently an idol of hers and she was very upset to receive this just after her death. Google Kelly Osborne Esther Williams to find the articles - And you can see the photo she posted on Twitter. It does add more credibility to the autograph being legit. And as for age... Bacall, Kirk Douglass and June Foray, Betty White and Joan Fontaine are all in there upper 80's or 90's and sign legit. Fontaine is almost 96 and her autograph is lovely. It is VERY possible this was a real success, especially since I have not heard that Ms. Williams was incapacitated prior to her death, like a coma or something that would allow her not to sign. Grow up people!
