I'm so sorry that you judge authoraph collectors as greedy, opportunistic sellers.
I sent Mr. Trebek several get well cards when I learned about his condition.
He actually sent a short note with this item thanking us fans for praying for him.

Alex has made it known he enjoys receiving letters from fans and supporters during his health battle. No one is forcing him to continue to sign autographs for fans; he does so because he wants to. And having seen a Jeopardy taping last week, Mr. Trebek appears to be in relatively good spirits despite his struggles.

Not only that, but if you bothered to do research he said he likes fanmail even now.

Then send him a nice note and not beg for a graph on his deathbed.

I wrote Alex a genuine letter and didn't request anything from him and 2 weeks later he totally surprised me with a hand written response. I can't believe how fast he responded because I wrote David Muir from world news tonight during april and 8 months later in December received a signed headshot and letter from him. I totally forgot I even wrote David because so many months had passed.
