Dolly Parton half success to later full success

OK, I think you all need to know this one ...

Last year in July I sent Dolly a fan letter with my standard size US concert ticket (2x5 1/2 inches) and it came back nearly a month later with a note that said "item too small :-)" along with a pre-print Dolly autograph photo. Obviously, junk compared to whatever everyone has been getting.

I guess judging by the answer, Dolly has a big ego and needs to make a very big signature? I never had issues with kickback complaints about those ticket items I send based on size alone.

Nearly a year later, I sent another item, a (3 1/4 x 4 1/2 inches) item - this time a used UK ticket, mounted on BLACK CARDSTOCK 8x 10 inches, made a nice little note with lettering attached to it, and kindly wrote a letter to management, NOT direct to Dolly, that I really want this SINGLE item ticket more than anything else. I also attached a copy of my fan letter (I always keep copies) and the old response note they made to me.

Ticket was signed. This was all I sent.

In short if you get a rejection notice, try sending a different item and probably make sure they know for the sake of legitimacy of a re-request so you can get something personalized and signed. Also make sure it is in the ballpark of what I sent in size - but it seems many here get the successes at 8x10. I don't know if I was a special case. I heard trading cards are rejected by her office too?

I used this address ...

Another note ... maybe OT ...

I hear a lot of talk about the stuff she sends is secretarial signatures. However, the woman is retired from doing anymore large scale touring and it seems what went on in the past decade (or more) with many rejections, no returns, some successes, and various preprints, it's interesting to see there appears to be more successes now. Perhaps she grew a legit heart rather than more plastic surgery or found the best ghost signer?

Also, there have been many at her star status or bigger who signed through the mail for years - all authentic. As an example, Phil Collins was one of them (who sadly doesn't anymore).
