I sent a letter, a CD insert and a SASE to:
Dolly Parton
c/o Dolly Parton Management
2401 12th Avenue South
Nashville, TN 37204
Less than a month later, I received a response. I know the signature is often said to be "auto-pen" or secretarial but since this is a gift (for my mother, who is a fan of Dolly Parton) it doesn't matter much to me, as to whether it's certifiably authentic or not. I just wanted it to be part of a collection and as such, it's a good addition to the Reba McEntire CD that I got signed for her years ago.

Re: Dolly Parton success!
to be completely honest, I don't think we will get a true answer here on real or not. There are too many people who speculate on this. As I wrote before the history shows people got rejections, no answer back, pre-prints, and something like we did. Inconsistency ... I thought Dolly was there to play fair and love everyone equally given her reputation? But she can be fake like ... well, you know ...Jeff_Jones_1979 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 13, 2025 6:17 pm I sent a letter, a CD insert and a SASE to:

The idea that 1000s of request get sent to her nearly weekly might be true (she's a known worldwide celebrity), but the other part of the truth is she has a staff that weeds them out. She doesn't read them all - a small tiny percent of them grab her attention based on the staff's discretion!
So we don't know the stats of the rejections / no answers / preprints ... that needs to be considered in this 1000s number. Consider the fact of people who send nothing but only request a signed photo back (a good lot of them), which does happen and likely gets a preprint or probably nothing.
I would think in the likely case, someone in the office could be doing this - putting our names on our items (possibly ghostwriting our names in dedications), Dolly comes and signs whatever she wants for a good moment. That would make the most sense IMO.
We aren't there to witness this and the office is not going to officially say our things are being "vandalized" by an authorized imposter of Dolly to sign stuff on her behalf.

I sent 2 photos to the above address 6 years ago. I have not heard from them.
