How did you phrase the request for a signature in the email? There are a few US Senators I'd like to write to but it's always seemed awkward

I write the same everytime I email a senator.I'm writing to request a autograph picture from Mr. Doe. I'm a huge fan of his work and big fan of your state.thanks for your time. And them give my name and address.
