Envelope was received with out cancellation, had post office bar code on bottom. I should have known better than to expect an authentic response, but hope springs eternal.

I got an authentic from him about a year ago. Even sent a letter back saying it was an authentic signature.

past presidents dont need to pay for postage, so thats porbably why your sase was returned, and the envelope was not cancelled

I know about presidential postage, I'm not stupid. I did, however, make the notation for others benefit. I do thank you for your belated and unnecessary attempt to educate me.
