I sent a LOR, 4x6 photo and SASE to Red Sox third baseman Kevin Youkilis at the spring training address(no longer valid until next year):

Sent: 2/23/11

Received: 7/2/11


I received my 4x6 photo unsigned and a pre-print 4x6 photo back sent to me by the team. I also received a letter thanking me for being a fan and a 1x2 small cut out note that was separate from the letter which read: "I apologize, but due to such a high volume of mail, I am unable to personalize autographs to every fan." I wasn't really sure I would get anything back when I sent to him and just gave it a shot. He used to sign but not anymore it seems.

Got the same garbage from John Lackey, and he's nowhere near the star that Youkilis is. Seems to me that the BoSox are just a bad ttm signing team

I agree to that. I just sent to Aceves at Fenway a week ago and he was a good signer with the Yankees, so I'll just have to wait and see if he would still sign my photos. Still waiting on Okajima and Doubront I just sent to triple-A.

acieves i think has a good chance of returning it signed i have seen a success with him in a red sox uniform but from ST

Same here with Youkilis and Lackey as mentioned before me. Just recently a pp postcard from Ortiz. With a letter thanking me but another NO thank you's......
