Stephen King failure!!

I sent a letter and SAE to Stephen on: 28th July 2011, and today I recieved the usual reponse that other members that people have been getting.
address I used was:

No, he doesn't sign the bottom of the letter...it's a preprinted letter....

Does Stephen King only write Horror/Ghost stories or other thrillers too. I heard he wrote the Shining based on Stanley Hotel hauntings. Kindly let me know
