Sent request in mid July 2011, received last Friday (September 9, 2011)

Photo was signed, along with an index card (which I hadn't intended her to sign). Usually I put a post-it note on the photo so it's clear who to make it out to (one time I got a photo from Carrie Fisher back but it was addressed "Love to Ralph" which isn't my name). I ran out of post-it notes so I just wrote my name on an index card and paper clipped it to the picture and Debbie signed that too. :-)

Sadly, they removed my cardboard backing insert when sending it back to me... so even though I wrote "do not bend" on the envelope it still got a little bent but no creases.

Was very happy to receive though. I am starting my collecting again after years of not doing it and she was the first I sent a request to and the first I heard back from!

There was no return address so I figure no use in submitting the photo/envelope since one was not put on my SASE.

Hopefully your success is indicative that mine is not too far behind. I sent my request in early August.

Thanks for sharing. I'd go ahead and share the pic, if you have a scanner and want to. We collectors enjoy seeing others successes!

And yes - it's a lot of fun. And a fairly inexpensive hobby compared to some others. :-)

Nice! Yes it is tons of fun! Makes me look forward to coming home every day. I usually send a couple index cards with my picture just in case they want to sign them also lol.

You certainly are correct that is a fun hobby. I started over 20 years ago when all the classic stars were still alive, and I had repeated successes from almost all of them. My collection consists of over 8,000 signed photos.
