I sent a letter to Sarah Palin to the Database address asking for 2 bookplates. They sent 2 signed bookplates and a signed picture. None of them are autopen. Whether or not it's a sec, I don't know, but a sec did put the dedication.

I got my picture back signed & dedicated today too. I believe they are real, and here's why: She is known to use an autopen (which these clearly are NOT), so if she were to send out fakes, they would be autopenned and not sec signed. See what I'm saying? If she's got an autopen, then why bother using a sec when the autopen could do all the work? Personally, I believe that all her signatures that are NOT autopenned, are indeed personally signed by Mrs. Palin herself. Anyone agree? Disagree?

I thought the consencous was she sent out secs?

The inscriptions looks a little strange to me in comparrison to the signature. I had heard before that she had multiple auto pen stencils but I am not positive.

Perhaps some of what each of you is saying could be true. You may find that many situations are not "either one or the other."

In my mind, a plausible explanation is that Ms. Palin signs large numbers of pictures ahead of time at her convenience. These can usually be sent out later with relative ease, except for the occasional personalization requests, which can then be done by secretaries.

I'm pretty sure that most celebrities can't do a lot of personalizing themselves without making the turnaround time excessively long. Having a quick turnaround on a real autograph personalized by a secretary would seem to be the best of both worlds.

For me photo look like with autopen and bookplates look like her sec because Sarah have characteristic P. B

The photo here is autopenned and the bookplates are secretarial, likely done by someone in her family. Over the past couple of years, her husband, her mom and dad, and her daughters have signed a lot of mail for her, this likely is one of the daughters signing for her. The H and the P standout as being horrible, and you can tell whomever is signing them has trouble forming her H-P. Here is one of my full signature photos that I have obtained In-Person from her:

I sent her 2 postcards back when she was still governor. I am 100% sure they are not autopen and they match pretty close to her in-person's I have seen including the one in this thread. The only thing about comparing to in-person's is that they are often rushed and signed on the run rather than at a desk or table. I am pretty sure I have 2 authentic signatures.
