After getting a failure on Peyton Manning a couple weeks ago, I decided to resend. This time I sent a card instead of a picture, and after a week I got it back signed! This is my first sports success in a couple months. I sent a LOR, SASE, and a football card. I used the address in the database too.

sent sports illustrated and an 8 x 10. Heard he doesnt sign SI's so wanted to give him option. Sent 10 dollar donation to charity as well. Did you send any donation?

I'm pretty sure he doesnt sign 8x10's either. In my 1st attempt, I sent an 8x10 and it was returned unsigned. And no, I didn't send a donation. But I've seen other people send in 8x10 photos with a donation, and they return both the donation and the picture. So if they return your stuff unsigned too, try with a card

My 8x10 was returned twice, once with donation, once without. I will now be going the card route as well. Good luck to anyone who gets an 8x10 back. I will be jealous!!

thats good to hear, i sent my son's finest rc card to him to sign with a donation. the peyback foundation is a great cause

Did you ask him to personalize it though so he doesnt think you are an ebayer? I did so hopefully he does. My buddy got his 8 x 10 signed.

No, I didnt ask him to personalize it for a couple of reasons. I dont like personalization on sport cards or sports memoribilia (balls, bats, helmets, etc). Whenever I send a picture or cd booklet or whatever else to people, I always ask for it to be personalized but I never do for sport items. Second, I highly doubt he personally reads all the letters. He receives a ton of mail along with his already very busy football schedule, so he simply doesn't have the time to read the thousands of letters he gets. He probably has a sec or someone pass on the items to him, he signs them, then sends them back. But hey, if you gets yours personalized though, let me know because that will probably mean I'm wrong about him not actually reading the letters!

I've never seen a personalized success from Peyton...Great success!!
