Did you send a letter of request (LOR) and SASE (Self-Addressed Stamped Envelope) too? Or did you send only SAE? Or did you use IRC's (perhaps not nessecary in the inland mail in the USA)? Or enclosed $ 10,-?
The collectors would be thankful for some specific information.

That's a preprint though? I have the exact same one!

solracc1 says he sent a photo...at least that's what the post says. But I was under the impression that Mr. Ford does not sign through the mail. At all. There's a reason his autograph on Official Pix is almost $500!
Nothing's impossible, of course, but he's not a good signer, even in-person.
If that's a legitimate Ford signature, solracc1 got very lucky.
peer, IRCs are not needed within the U.S. It looks like the envelope might be a SASE but he doesn't say.

He didn't send that photo and it didn't get signed.

Congratulations on getting something back, however this is a well known pre-print.

Why's it say he sent the picture and got it back signed? Like others have said, this is the pp he sends

Either he made a typo, or he's trying to mislead people into thinking that he actually got an authentic autograph back...
I hope it's the former, and not the latter.
