My advice is to hang on to that envelope. The initials on the return address are interesting. In effect, you might've received two autographs after asking for only one.

Several months ago a friend of mine sent Johnny Depp a DVD cover on behalf of a friend, along with a self-addressed and postage-paid envelope and a letter of request that he sign the DVD cover for her friend. My friend explained in her letter that her friend was a big fan of the actor, and that the autographed DVD cover would be a birthday gift. The actor complied, and sent the autographed DVD cover back in the enclosed postage-paid envelope.

A week letter, my friend received a second envelope from Johnny Depp's address. The envelope contained a second, unsolicited autographed photo for my friend, thanking her for her nice letter, and for her kind request on behalf of her friend.

I sometimes get the impression that Johnny Depp is trying to please the whole world, one person at a time.

I'm thinkig the the person who sent the SAE put those initials on there. that's how I do my SASE's, with just the celebs initials. Johnny rarely signs authentic TTM these days, only place is IP or VV, but even VV's are few and far between. He's incredible in-person though! will sign the whole line!

I hope I sent mine to that address. I usually keep records but I forgot with him! O.o but that address looks familiar so I hope I did!

Congrats on the reply from Johnny - you were lucky to get two autographs!

I was lucky to meet him at Pinewood studios when I was at university doing a music course in April 2007 - he just walked right past us - there were at least 15 of us and only ME noticed who it was :/ I was bold enough to leave my electric violin and run after him to ask for an autograph - I only had sheet music for him to sign but he asked a crew member to get 'one of the poster's' and signed it personally because he didn't want to ruin my exam music LOL!
He then asked me what I played, and I said electric violin and asked me what grade I was, so I said diploma level - I did a BA Hons in Music performance. He was a genuine nice down to earth person who actually took the time to talk rather than just squiggle a signature down.
I will take a picture and add it as my avatar so you can have a look at it - it's now proudly framed above my bed lol.

My tip - if you live in London or near pinewood OR are a student who has lessons there, just kinda hang around for a while - mine was merely a coincidence and luck, make SURE you have your badge or they'll throw you out LOL! And go when you know they are filming- I didn't know, I just happened to have a lesson - oh, and it was at 7.30 at night. So I guess they were either just wrapping up, or just getting started. IDK. But if you are a student and do go, good luck. If you meet Johnny - he will definitely sign. Another tip - I called him Mr Depp......I didn't use 'Johnny' - He seemed to like the fact that I'd taken the time to be polite I hope this helps people.
