This is my very first TTM success, & what a success it is! (: I sent a letter and SASE to Ed Asner on March 17th, and received a reply today, March 23rd. Very fast success! I wrote him about how much the movie UP means to me since my father passed away, & I could relate to Carl's loss of a loved one. His reply on my photo did bring me to tears, simply because of how much I love Carl & Ellie's relationship. He usually writes funny captions, but this one was emotional & sweet. It was even more special because I didn't even mention this in the letter, but I really do hope to find a love like theirs. I'll treasure this photo forever! I also had him sign one for my mom Angela, & he did his usual funny caption on that. (:

That's beautiful, this is why I'm in the game of autograph collecting, for responses like this. Celebrities being down to Earth is just about my favorite thing in this world. Nice guy, I don't want to mail him because I don't have a heart felt story to send him.

Completely agreed! I love when celebrities are real and genuine. I have all the respect in the world for Mr. Asner after seeing the way he treats his fans. (: You should totally send him a letter anyway! It doesn't have to be heartfelt. (: He loves to hear from everyone!
