Hey, sent a LOR with SASE with two 5x7 photos on 4-27-12

address used is in the database:

Received both letters back signed in silver marker on 5/21/12. She didn't put a return address, but it's stamped in anchorage, ak. I left the return address blank and they wrote "same" on it.

Anyway, here's my dilemma, she signed in some marker that smudges, as you see below, it's smudged in transit some, and I touched the very corner of a serif, and it still wipes off. is there any spray or product to put on it to keep it from smudging or wiping off. It's cool I got it back, but I don't want to lose it. It's almost like she signed with a dry erase marker... Any suggestions?

There are plenty of fixative sprays on the market that can seal that photo in to prevent further damage. Krylon makes a couple, not knowing the type of pen, I can't guarantee results but something like Clear Coat would work. I've had success with that before though I prefer Myston by Grumbacher. Any decent art supply store will carry them.

Be sure wary though - it will cause some warping to the photo paper unless you find a way to hold the paper flat while you wait for the fixative to dry.
