On 6-25-12, I received my card back unsigned, my SASE back unused, and a really sweet 8x10 Nicklaus picture that was personalized to me and autographed.

I'm kind of new to all of this. Did you send out a #10 envelope with a letter, SASE, and card....then got back an 8x10 in a larger envelope provided by the signer? I'd LOVE to add an auto of his to my collection....

I sent a small self addressed stamped envelope inside a #10 with my card. He didn't sign my card, and didn't use my envelope, but he mailed me a personalized and signed 8X10 in his own large envelope. He returned my card and SASE.

Usually like in your case when the celebrity doesn't sign your item and sends something else back it is always a fake.

That is NOT true. Saying that is asinine. Sometimes, people have their own photos pre-autographed and ready to go out to fans that request them. That is probably the case here.

It's personalized, and the hand writing on my name looks the same as that of the autograph. I'm not an expert, but it looks pretty real to me.

Scan the autograph so I can see it, I'll tell if it's real or not. I have received numerous Nicklaus autographs. You can see the ones I have at my website. The autographs of Nicklaus that I have are ALL the real deal. They were ALL in person.
