Rita Moreno stupid success...

So I mailed a photo out to her in November to the address in the database. Nothing came back. Then I saw a success from the Happily Divorced address and sent another photo (same photo) to her in Feb. WELL...In March I got a success back! Had no idea which one it was cause it was the same photo! Then, in the end of June, I got another success! (both work!) I figured I could give the second to a friend who loves West Side Story but then I looked at the signature. It seemed like it was signed with a grease pen. I touched it to see and what did I find? DRY ERASER! She signed with a DRY ERASER marker!

Yes....but I think the point was the autograph will smudge and wipe off totally with any thing you try and do. If you put it in a plastic sleeve the auto. Will eventually transfer to the plastic. If you frame it...it will transfer to he glass. Normally I would not suggest this but it seems the only way to keep the autograph from being qiped of is to laminate it...which I would never usually tell anyone to do. Val Kilmer did the same in person and I wound up having to laminate it since the inscrption kept wiping away more and more. After about six years now it is the same as when I laminated it

True.....but Im not sure how many photos this poster has.....but I know I have no place in my home nor the money to matte and frame every autograph I have. Granted its only one photo...But I know I would rather matte and frame photos of my choosing and not a photo just because its the only way to preserve them. I have collected, many in person for 24 years.....I have most in sleeves in big 3 ringed binders. I have from Presidents to Royalty signed in person....I would of course rather matte and display something like that and have my others in a book. It is of course up to the poster and if ahe is a particular favorite. I know my Rita Moreno is in one of my binders

Did you print the photo yourself? Sometimes I run into this problem when I get autographs signed in grey marker on photos that I have printed. It mainly happens because the ink does not allow the marker to absorb into the paper. When this happens,I usually take clear-coat spray paint and give it a light spray-down. Seems to help preserve the signature. Congrats!

Well being that you were talking about this certain image, I was too...I Wasn't talking about the user's whole collection. We were talking about this certain image because of the marker she used.
