I sent a letter, and a picture and a SAE to David Jason on last week and received my pic back today unsigned and a letter (in my SAE) saying that he is too busy at the moment to sign.
They sent me a pp so i shoved it in the coal fire too burn..

He wasnt too busy too sign in the 1980,s when he was a guest on swapshop and when he was trying to make a name for himself.
Now obviously he doesnt give a shit about his fans so its best that i dont waste my time and money on him again...

Plus, if you are comparing him from the 80s and now, 2 points,
1.Why didnt you write to him then?
2. He is older, and has a child now.

You can buy one WHICH IS SIGNED BY HIM from Only Fools and horses society as well as most of the cast.

Wow! You're quite the bitter one aren't you? A little bit of research before sending would have told you there was a 90% chance (if not more) of this happening. If you were old enough to be able to write to him in the eighties, you should be mature enough not to rant like this, if you're actually a kid, then that says it all. I am frequently frustrated when specific celebs don't sign, but I suspect DJ gets a LOT of fanmail and if his decision is to go down the PP route, then that's the way of it. While I don't count PPs as any form of success, at least the gesture is made to let you know the situation, rather than leaving people hanging.

Bottom line, not every celeb signs, but if you're going to kick off on a rant every time it happens then you'll forgive the majority of us for ignoring your posts from now on.

He is busy writing his autobiography, you won't hear much from him.

I can get as many pp,s as I want.
I just have too photocopy them off the net if I want them. Which I don't as they mean nothing to me. So why you say it's stupid and idiotic I got rid of it I don't know! Lol.

Hi i have to agree with you trevor1066, i have wrote to David Jason several times, and received a letter saying he was too busy to sign, whereas the rest of OFAH including Nicholas Lyndhurst seem to find time whilst doing shows etc.My boyfriend idolises DJ, has bought 2 autographs from OFAH website which are costly, I have been trying to get him one dedicated to him, but received letter saying even when he does sign, he does not dedicate. It is not idiotic in the slightest, and everyone seems quick to hurrel abuse as not face to face, get a life!!!
