He signed a few Spider-Man comics and a Savage Dragon comic too a few years ago. I didn't get any sketches though so that's cool.

He has signed for me in-person at the Baltimore Comic Con several times. I really like using the artist sketch card as it is small and a drawing can be done rather quickly, which helps at a con where there a lot of people waiting in line.

Do you usually get artists to do sketches on those for free at conventions or do they still make you pay?

Many artists charge for sketches at conventions, in fact it seems like that is the only reason they are there. There are still plenty who don't do sketches at all and are there to signs autographs and talk with the fans. It never hurts to ask though. I've gotten some pretty cool artist cards that way.
