Sent 1 LOR and SASE to address in database on 17/12/12. On 02/01/13, I received a photo of the Cuban flag with Castro's signature on the back.
I also received a note (in Spanish).

This was my first successful reply in 2013. It was also unique because it was the only 'first reply' I ever received from a non-English speaking territory. It is only the second reply I have received from Latin America.

Could you take a photo of this with a camera/phone? I'd love to see it as as far as I was aware, Fidel Castro has been sending out PPs for several years, even prior to his ill health.

Hi, sounds good. Was the note you got handwritten by Fidel Castro or was it a typed sheet? Also do you think perhaps you could use google translate to translate what it says? It sounds really interesting!

This would be cool if it were real, hopefully it is but he is in bad health and I doubt he would spend his time writing to a westerner.
