Hi DowntonClaire
Thank you for your feedback
Would you have a scan of the envelope you received please?
If so, you are in the run for the $10 gift certificate.

Congrats to your Colin-success
Do you put a post-it on the pictures, which says the name of the person who should get the photo? I put always a post-it on it when I asked the star wether he can sign for me and another person. Because sometime -sadly- they didn't read the letters.

I normally don't sign onto forums just to say I've received a response from writing a fan letter.
However, out of all letters I've written, Colin was the only who responded.
I guess i was just lucky. I made my letter very concise, not a 3 page essay.
Guess what? I sent NO PICTURES. I made an account with Royal Mail just so I could pay for postage ahead of time. I am a U.S. citizen and sent it by the U.S. post office.
One year later I received my prepaid envelope I created from the Royal Mail website. I opened it. To my surprise, he provided me with a snapshot of him. What a scholar and a gentleman. He even kept the picture I sent of myself (a 5 x7 photo of me). Most actors probably would say it's not allowed. But someone put my photo of myself in their file and provided me with a 5x7 Colin Morgan autographed snapshot. It's authentic because the sharpie was almost out of ink.
Like I said--I have never received a response before from an actor. Colin is the man!
