Is it recommended to send your own photo to Matt Smith, or is he known for providing his own?

Or rather, his mom provides the photo, since I heard she helps out with his fanmail!

I am new to this so forgive me for the question but where do you guys get your pictures that you send in your fan mail?

Matt rarely signs items sent in, the pic in this success is his standard DW promo card which goes out.

I don't think it would work right now since he's in Detroit filming Ryan Gosling's film "How To Catch A Monster". If you can find the venue address for that movie, it might be worth trying to send a request since it's one of the few times he's here in the US.
