On 3/28/2013 I sent her a 6 page long letter $2 for postage (no sase). I decorated the envelope like crazy. On the "front" i drew the maurders map and on the "back" I colored the house colors of hogwarts. I also decorated the letter. (I made the envelope from yellow paper) It took me a day to do this and this is probably why i got such a fast reply. I recieved a rejection letter back 4/17/2013 . I sent the letter in the hope of getting back one of her pre signed autographs that a few people a year ago had recieved. I sent to her Edinburgh address. I am very dissapointed but I do understand how difficult it is to obtain her autograph. Someone even took the time to highlight how she cant send out autographs. This did not make me feel any better. They did not send back my $2 ,but the postage was 1 pound so i guess they used it for that. However I am happy to get something back

No...this is not a success. $2 down and info that could be found on the internet. Not to be tough but a success is a real hand signed autograph, not a PP or a secretarial or has times changed?

It's nice that you got something back

I once received a handwritten letter from her, she's my hero so I was over the moon! Try and catch her in person one day, at a book signing maybe, and give her a letter then, thats what I did

 And I got a reply!

The definition of success may be different to some people, therefore I added the ? in front of success. But I completely agree with you. I was disappointed, but glad to get something back. It really did stink they didn't send back my money

Wow! That's amazing, I would have given anything to have a hand written letter from her. She is so amazing. I hope she writes another book so she can go on tour. Might have to try to get her autograph then

are you from England? if yes, you are a happy person!

I must bet only on some TTM success from J.K.

...anyway, somewhere on internet I have found a success from J.K. that someone sent a photo to her when she had a signin session in bookstore. Maybe that's the way, or maybe it up to our luck
