Jim Davis Success? (Authenticity Question-- PICTURE ADDED)

I sent a small picture and LOR + SASE to Jim Davis to the address in the database, and got a letter saying that he couldn't sign my picture, and that he enclosed a replacement.

Anyone know if these replacements are authentic or PPs? I have heard some say authentic and some say PP, so I'm curious.

Looking forward to your responses!

Hard to say without a photo, but he is a bit of a hit or a miss TTM these days.

I will have a pic posted soon...

That's what I've heard as well. I have a feeling it's a PP.

Hi ttmcollector :)

Thank you for your feedback {up}

Would you have a scan of the envelope you received please?
If so, you are in the run for the $10 gift certificate.

I think it might be, too. I think I will just send multiple pictures next time. Surely he will use one of them...lol!

I just tried the "Q-Tip and Acetone" test on it, and when I rubbed the signature, some of the ink bled on to the Q-Tip, AND some of the ink (and only from where it was signed) started running through the back. Seems to be a pre-signed authentic.

Anyone have any experience in this kind of testing? Different opinions?

It is real. He can't sign sent photos for copyright reasons. He sent me two signed photos a few months ago. The signature is different than yours. It may be pre-signed though.
