Della Reese dismal FAILURE

Sent Ms Reese a 1957 Topps Hit Stars card (Mint) to sign for my daughter plus a $20 donation to her church. She kept the card and money and sent a signed 3x5 card. All in all it cost me $37 for this.

That's the motto of this hobby.
It's unfortunate, but you knew the risks, so forgive me for not feeling bad that it cost you $37.
You also got her autograph, so I disagree that it's a "dismal FAILURE".
Quit sulking, she didn't even have to send you that.

You got an autograph so how is that a failure? I entirely agree with MW1221, don`t send anything you cannot afford to lose. She did not have to send you anything, did she?
