Jonathan Rhys Meyers Success!

On Feb 3, 2014 I sent a photo of Jonathan Rhys Meyers, and a SASE with approx. 4.00 GBP worth of stamps affixed on it for return postage (the U.S. Post Office no longer sells IRC; I therefore purchased British stamps at a stamp collector shop in San Francisco, CA) and less than a month later, on March 1, 2014, I received my photo back, signed by Jonathan Rhys Meyers. Yay!

The address I used is his publicist: c/o Pip Gill Publicity, 47-49 Rupert Street, London W1D 7PE UK.

I thought I've attached the signed photo with my initial post (I'm new to this site). Hmm, I've just tried to upload the photo again, and got this notice: "Could not upload attachment to ./files/69451_745b162b3d36d50cb116f3373cfa56cfost". Do you know how I can upload a photo?

You can use a free photo hosting site like Photobucket or ImageShack -- upload your photos to your account there first and then post the link here.

Hi jadebird
Thank you for your feedback
Would you have a scan of the envelope and picture you received please?
If so, you are in the run for the $10 gift certificate.

I would definitely write again and use his publicist address in London. Another tip is to enclose a SASE with enough British stamps on it, rather than an IRC - with an IRC, they would have to go to the post office to exchange it for postage, and I try to make it easy for their office to return the autographed photo to me by putting stamps on the SASE - good to go. How do I know how much British stamps to put on the return envelope? What I did was I went onto eBay and looked at some of the British sellers of JRM photos and the like, to see how much they're charging for postage. I live in San Francisco, CA and to make sure I've enough postage on the envelope, I put approx. GBP 3.85 worth of stamps on the SASE. One last thing: I spent a little extra money and sent the photo with SASE to his publicist via Federal Express. That way, my envelope would perhaps get special attention ... in this case, it was worth it to me because I'm a huge fan of JRM!
BTW - I purchased the British stamps at a local store in San Francisco that sells mainly to stamp collectors, but I think you can also buy them online ...
Good Luck!
