I wrote Mr. Erskine on 3-20-14, sending a LOR and 2 portraits of him (one was his copy). I received my copy back, signed, with a lot of his stats. He also added a little drawing of his own and a little note on the back of my envelope. I used the address in the database (Anderson, IN). Photos to come later today.

Aw man, Carl was my first success, and I've just written to him for the 3rd time! REALLY nice drawings, I wish I had at least SOME artistic skills...

Thanks. I try to do portraits for older players as signing material, and a gift out of appreciation (I send them a copy). So far, I've done portraits of Bob Doerr, Ralph Kiner, Virgil Trucks, Bobby Shantz, Chuck Harmon, Bobby Richardson, Bob Aspromonte and Lonnie Smith. I'm doing one of Roger Craig now.
