I sent a letter, SASE and 2 photos on March 15th and received both photos signed on March 31st. The address i used was:

I know - The only thing I thought of was that he wanted to save postage on the SASE. But another member just told me that Linden is very rare to get and mine is the only TTM he has seen in the past 10+ years. I think he decided to make an exception because I called ahead to tell his agency that I wanted to write to him for his birthday combined with the fact that he grew up in my neighborhood in the Bronx.

Ah.
But either way, from my perspective, it's proof he does sign. Just means you have to try all the harder. I always feel more accomplished when I get one who doesn't sign to sign.
It usually takes a lot more time, a little more effort, and having a working relationship with the person's rep (even if it's based on a cold call) never hurts.
Only autographs I ever buy are those where:
1) the person has officially retired from all things celebrity, including autographs
2) the person passed away before I started collecting
Everything else, let the games begin.
I'm not above calling in favors to people who don't know me from Adam. And that is why I give the best Christmas presents ever.
But that's just me, I guess.
