I sent a LOR, SASE, and 2 colored pictures, for a personalized autograph of Betty White for my son. After waiting for 3 long months I was so happy to finally receive my envelope in the mail. Sadly, I was very, no extremely disappointed, to find that although I did receive a personalized autograph of Betty White, but that they sent the wrong picture. I sent 2 colored pictures, that I had purchased separately, and I received one black and white picture. I took out so much time to find the right pictures to buy and send, now probably someone else has my beloved pictures of Betty.

You can't expect they always be organized can ya? Someone else on this forum years ago got MY jennifer Lawrence autos. They were signed to me, lol. The user was kind enough to send them to me. But sometimes it happens. And these were authentic jennifer Lawrence autos.
Evangeline Lilly did that to me too send me a 5x7 photo. Not what I sent. I sent two 4x6 it was personalized to me. It happens. It sucks but it does

Okay, personally, all I care about is getting back an authentic autograph on a decent photo. Celebrities don't have to autograph anything for you, so if they manage to send you back something, you should be thankful. For example, I wrote to Bill Nighy a while ago. I sent two pictures, but received one of his own signed back instead. I'm just grateful that he took the time to sign anything in the first place, and that his management covered postage for me since I didn't have any UK stamps.
Plus, stuff happens. There are mix-ups. There are errors. Just because they are celebrities doesn't make the foolproof. I had to send to Betty twice to get something back.
EDIT: Also note the fact that Betty White is NINTEY-TWO YEARS OLD AND STILL SIGNING FAN MAIL AUTHENTICALLY.

Agreed. She's lucky it wasn't personalized to someone else

I sent Betty two trading cards and a Sase and never heard back. 2 months after, someone on an autograph forum received their photo back signed and a bonus signed trading card personalized to them. So at least you got something back from her.
*Edit - I just received both cards signed today. haha

Sounds hyperbolic to me. "Beloved pictures"?
You bought them to mail to get autographed. They're not some family heirloom. Even if they were, it'd be your own fault for mailing something you can't afford to lose to someone you don't know unsolicited to ask them to do you a favor.
If the pictures are so beloved, just buy another pair, insure them to high heaven, and hang them on your wall unsigned in an archival environment so you can ensure that you'll never lose them again.

She must be in signing mode right now. I sent for her about three weeks ago and got my photo back today, too.

That's fairly common for celebrities to do, especially when they get a lot of mail. They set aside a chunk of time every so often (usually once or twice per month) to respond to mail, as opposed to signing it as it comes in, which is more inconvenient.

Hi madison40
Thank you for your feedback
Would you have a scan of the envelope and picture you received please?
If so, you are in the run for the $10 gift certificate.
