On November 5, 2011, I sent an 8x10, LOR, and SASE to Senator John Glenn. On May 23, 2014, nearly 7 months later, I received my photograph back signed and personalized by Senator Glenn.

Awesome success! I am still waiting back from Astronaut Kathryn Thornton. I have been waiting a while for her so I am not sure I will get anything back. I really would love to have at least one Astronaut. A lot of the Astronauts charge for autographs. John Glenn is great! I had absolutely no idea that he was a Senator!

Definitely send to him. It takes a while, but he responds. I have a couple other astronauts and a cosmonaut. Let me know if you'd like their addresses. None of them charged.

I sent you a PM. Yea I am definitely going to send to John Glenn asap. I have a short list of Astronaut Addresses. John Glenn is on my list but I have a different address listed so I am glad you shared this. I will work on a request tonight. I will give you the list I have also, maybe theres atleast 1 or 2 that you don't have also.

Congrats! Glenn is real-friendly to autograph seekers, both TTM and in-person. There are plenty other astronauts who sign for free TTM (some you have to provide your own material), but astronaut autograph collecting can be pretty rewarding if one is patient for their response.

Thanks! I'm having fun with it. I have a few more astronaut requests out, so fingers crossed. I'll look you up on Twitter tomorrow.

I noticed that you used 1820? However, when I checked the website for the actual school, it used the address on the database. Also, the return address on the envelope is 1810. Any insight would be nice.

That is the address I used and I was successful. It took several months to receive his reply.
