Sir George Martin (Beatles producer) - Success!

I wrote to Sir George Martin around 6 months ago with a letter and SAE to his UK address on file on site. I included a Beatles cd cover and asked if he could sign it. I did not expect a response at all so was amazed to receive it back, signed and personalized. A genuine music hero to me and very kind of him.
Due to his age I would not recommend bombarding him with items to sign as he may not reply.

Nice success. He has indicated he is no longer accepting fan mail. Perhaps, as the OP indicated, this was sent 6 mo ago, he is simply catching up on what he had previously received.

He is still signing--got him back today-----2 ----8 1/2 x 11 photos personalized

Fantastic, he's what, 88? 89? And everyone should 'bombard' him with requests to sign stuff. What a creature you are.

But when did you actually send your request? They wouldn't send notes saying he will be no longer signing due to his advanced age for no reason. Maybe, like it has been said above, he's catching up with the last requests.
