Jerry Lee Lewis - no success, but price demand

Hello again,

I sent 1 photo and SASE plus money to the "Killer" Mr. Jerry Lee Lewis on 24th Sep 14, I received the answer on 8th Oct:
meanwhile price adjustment has occured and the staff answered very politely and "regretfully" that one signature is now 100 USD.

Although my request flopped, I start liking the note written in red on my letter. It is fancy, creative and masterly stonewalled {up}

Anyway, here comes the photo:

Greedy man. Lol. He will be dead soon so you better pay quick if you want it.

Very greedy for some old faded singer to ask for that much money. Even a top star wouldn't ask for that much. He should realize that more people would likely pay for an autograph if it were $20 and he'd make himself more money that way.

Last year it was 20$ that you had to pay - life is expensive (remember his song "money"?).
For me, the signature is not worth 100$, in particular considering the fact, that you do not know who really signs.

I remember the first feedback saying that he was asking for $$
note said Killer fallen on hard times.
one of the most recent had his price at $60,NOW $100
i HAVE SEEN SOME RECENT IN PERSON GRAPHS FROM HIM
a little messy !!
the ones coming back from his address look like his graph from 40 years ago????
find this all very puzzling and leave me afraid of getting burned!!
possible autopen???wife signing??? stamp???

He has an official web-site with an official store.
Why doesn't he sell autographed items there?

The fee was originally $10 for a STAMP of Jerry Lee's signature or $20 for a real signature. HAHA.
Then the fee went up to $50 and then $100.

Autograph Magazine Live did a big thread a few months ago about the possibility of Jerry Lee's $50 or lower priced signatures being fake. Once the $100 were sent and members of the site questioning the autographs, it seems the autographs coming back now are real.
I suggest anyone wishing to send money for an autograph check out AML's thread on JLL's autographs.
