Eric Clapton failure

I sent a letter and SAE to Eric on: 17th September 2014, and last Friday I recieved this note back saying that ' Mr Clapton no longer signs autographs' :( Unstandable I suppose.

address I used was:

Eric Clapton,
CCA Touring,
5th Floor,
3, Shortlands,
Hammersmith,
London
W6 8DA

Perhaps he collects small strips of paper saying 'so and so no longer signs autographs'. In that case, this is a success! ;-)

Is it really better to get a strip of paper than a photo even if it has a sec signature? Really?
