Eric Clapton failure

I sent a letter and SAE to Eric on: 17th September 2014, and last Friday I recieved this note back saying that ' Mr Clapton no longer signs autographs'

Unstandable I suppose.
address I used was:
Eric Clapton,
CCA Touring,
5th Floor,

Hammersmith,

Perhaps he collects small strips of paper saying 'so and so no longer signs autographs'. In that case, this is a success!

Is it really better to get a strip of paper than a photo even if it has a sec signature? Really?
