Gene Wilder (need a second opinion)

This past month, I sent a letter and a DVD insert to Mr. Wilder's home address. Except this wasn't for me. It was for my father in law (who has been more of a father to me than my real one ever was.) His 55th birthday is in March and Gene Wilder is one of his favorite actors (Young Frankenstein is one of his favorite movies as well.) I told Mr. Wilder all about it and asked him to make it out "To Tim" (that is my FIL's name.) Anyways, I wanted to get him something special for his birthday this year, and seeing as how pretty much everyone who has written to Mr. Wilder has heard back, I figured he would be the best to write to. Well, anyways, I saw a failure posted on here this past week about rubber stamps being used. Seeing that, as recent as it was, I kind of figured thats what I would get. Well, it came back today. It doesn't look like a stamp, but he didn't personalize like I asked (which isn't really a BIG deal.) However, theres just something that doesn't seem quite right. I was hoping for some second opinions if you please. I'm not giving this to him if it isnt real. I totally understand why Mr. Wilder has grown tired of signing through the mail, but still...

Hi Emperor Shao Kahn
Thank you for your feedback
Would you have a scan of the envelope you received please?
If so, you are in the run for the $10 gift certificate.

A shame to throw it away, you shouldn't be so bitter, its the repeat offenders that caused him to send out stamps now, possibly his attendance at convention events too but most likely the abusers sending multiple requests.

why does every time a celeb stops signing someone says that it`s because of too much fanmail or ebay ect...Adam West stopped signing(he was just about to due some Fanexpos and other appearances)when he was done ,he started signing again.Gene Wilder was signing up a storm and without warning the stamps started rolling out.If you look at the timeline on this starting and the announcement of the O.C. Card private signing. It doesn`t take a Rocket Scientist to see that this is a contract obligation. The celebs don`t just sign the items sent in. O.C. has them sign numerous items and stock pile them to sell after the signing is over at a higher rate than the presell price$$ of the signing.. Let the dust settle near the end of the year he might be back to signing Legit ttm.
