This is great! Did you just call Barnes and Noble and ask them to purchase a copy and have it signed?

Hi lisab6899
Thank you for your feedback
Would you have a scan of the envelope you received please?
If so, you are in the run for the $10 gift certificate.

replying to all comments:
1. yes,you just call barnes and noble the day of the book signing. if you go to the barnes and noble website and find author events you can find book signings and if there is an author you want you call that store and ask if you can get a book signed and sent to you. The staff are wonderful about it they will take your name and credit card information and if the celebrity/author is willing to sign extra copies you will get your book.
2. there is never a charge for the signature. you pay for the book only plus shipping. so the book cost me about 30 bucks.
3. it's not a cashier signature. why there always has to be a negative person here is ridiculous. cashiers do not sign books it would not even cross their mind to do such a thing.
so for the collectors out there who are happy for the tip......there you go. glad to share. good luck. I've gotten several authentic signed books this way including Martina Mcbride and Sammy Hagar.

Thanks for letting me know. I'll try that. I have called the NYC Barnes and Noble and they will only let you get one the day after, if the author actually signed extra.

I called NYC fifth Ave store for Martina McBride and had no issues. prob depends on event and staff. I always call and tell them I'm calling from out of state, always be very sweet to them, a lot of times they will give you right to manager. so far so good never had an issue. Interested to know how many people actually do call in orders.
