I would like to say thank you for your song "Read All About It", we are in an election campaign against a party that believes in fear and hate mongering and stifling the voices of any that oppose their beliefs and your song says everything that we are fighting for, to be able to speak freely without fear and hatred, wanting an open and inclusive government. I listen to your song on a regular bases, it is one of the things that gives me the motivation to go out and campaign, as does the incredible values of the candidate that I am supporting ( www.ElectAnita.ca ) and the incredibly diverse group of people that have come out to be her team. I am sad to say that I am writing from Canada, a country that use to be a world leader in human rights and helping disadvantage people, championing their causes whether it is women's issues, the landmines treaty, the environment, poverty, etc alas now we are failing the world in all of those issues.
Emeli I want to give again a big heart-felt thank you for your song, for it and Ms Aretha Franklin's song "Respect" say everything that the world needs, Thank you
