A Newbie

Hey guys, I am new here and just wanted to formally introduce myself. I have been lurking in this forum for a while and thought I should finally just sign up. I have been collecting on and off since I was 13 (I am 17 now). It started as a school project and I just kept doing it since it was just so much fun!

I usually don't send SASE since my allowance wouldn't allow it lol However, now it does and I just had a couple silly question for you guys.

1. Does anyone else have trouble putting one envelope inside another one? lol This seems stupid, but when I put my SASE into my outer envelope it is really hard to stuff it in there. I use those big manila envelopes in case that makes any difference. Do all of you use those too?

2. How much postage should I put on the envelope I send and the SASE?

Ok that's it! ANy help would be appreciated.

Hello and a big and warm welcome to the board!

1. When I put my SASE inside another envelope I just fold it on the middle.

2. Your SASE should have enough stamp to send your picture back. Regarding your own envelope that entirely depends on how much you are sending and if you have included anything in it. I usually take my enveloped to the post office and let them do it all for me

on your envelope question, what I do is just fold about a half an inch at either the side or bottem of the envelope.

hey, welcome to the boards!

i just fold the left hand side enough for it to just slip in.
i take my envelope to the post office and they weigh it for me so i know how much postage i need
