Scanner assistance please!

Hey guys!

I was wondering if any of you knows how to get rid of these annoying 'dots' which come up in some of these pictures I scan.

Here is a prime example: -




However, not all my photos end up having these 'dots.'

I'm not a very 'technological' person, and I've googled everywhere but can't seem to find a right answer...
