What gift???

Unread post by Sammya »

Hi!

I really have no idea where to post this, but never mind :D . I'd love to send a letter to one actor, it's young talented 21-years-old guy and I'd like to send him a gift because I'm really huge fan fan of him. But I usually don't give any gifts to boys at his age (I mean I have no boyfriend and my brother is thirteen) so I really don't know what gift I should give him. Would you help me, please? I appreciate any help! :D

Thank you!

Well It would help to know which Actor your going to write too. :D Check and see if he has a http://www.imdb.com profile, he may have a triva section on his, & sometimes it will list what they like and don't like. {thumb2}

Hope this helps!!

Hey Ryan!

Thanks! I actually know a few fan sites of him where's the info about what he likes or not, so I'll check it and hopefully I'll think of something :D

I'm with Ryan on that, it's really hard to tell because we don't know what actor you're talking about. If he likes a certain sports team, buy him a mini-shirt replica, mug/glass or keychain which represents that team. The same goes for if has a favourite band, tv show, superhero, car, etc - get him something that relates to his favourites.

Alternatively, send something unique from your country..postcards, bookmarks, a nice chain, etc. Celebrities love gifts from 'exotic' places.
AUTHENTIC, OR NOTHING AT ALL.

in all honesty you should never really send a gift, because you dont wanna spend first of all more money on postage. second of all the celeb may not recieve it and third of all its not good because celebs never really like to open packages from fans. but if you insist to send a gift then make it something small, like a keychain ,charm or bracelet. nothing else not even candy. im not trying to be mean but i just thought you should understand this

Hi Sammya :D

Definitely send him something small and personal. You should definitely attempt to make it yourself rather than buying something.

Examples may include sending something such as a drawing, bookmark or even a piece of origami you've folded. How about a keychain?

The possibilities are endless.

I knwo a lot of people that send some sort of Teddy Bear to actors. Not a big, bad teddy bear from "Create-A-Bear" or anything, something distinctive, yet simple. And if you know their going to have a dressing room/somewhere to put it, they might place it in there and see it everyday and should you meet them one day and mention it, they'll remember you!

Well that's how it is for most stage actors. I couldn't disagree with "Miley Cyrus Fan" more. If you're object is to save as much as you can on postage, why bother even writing. But I would, as he sort of suggested, make sure you know the celeb will get it, and don't send food unless you are specifically dropping it off at the venue, day of and it is securely wrapped. They still might not eat it or touch it, so I wouldn't suggest food either. I've only heard of one instistance of this anyway, during the Broadway run of Jekyll & HYDE, when the celebrities were starring in the title role, someone made rock-star SEBASTIAN BACH a basket (dropped it off before a performance however), and in the basket was chocolates, beer, and some other random food stuff. Now, Sebastian was one of the few "rock-stars" to be on Broadway so it really is unheard of and I wouldn't suggest it.

I think a MUG is a fantastic idea. Just when you wrap it, don't make it look suspicious, and make sure it's a clean package, and hope it doesn't break. A keychain is another good idea.

And since when do people not like getting a package in the mail? And aren't celebrities people? Carolee Carmello (Broadway star) sent me a mysterious looking package. I opened it. She sent me an umbrella! So it's really not that weird.

Actually, I know of a story of I believe Robert Cucioli (Broadway star of Jekyll & Hyde) (sorry for so many Jekyll stories!!) and I thikn he said someone gave him a teddy bear (probably where I got the idea from above) and he has put it in every dressing room of his since he got it in 1995, and sees it as his good luck charm. The gift you send could be this for the actor!

My only other advise is don't send to someone who already has too much fame, especially people like Brad Pitt (poor example but whatever) or people who are really in the spotlight right now. I would really only send to people who are up&coming, and aren't too well known yet, because not only will they like it the most, they will more than likely keep it!?

My last bit of advice to you is that since it looks like you're probably not from where the actor is from, I would as said before send him something from there. He'd probably really enjoy it!

Best of Luck!
WONDERLAND:Alice's New Musical Adventure enjoyed a short, but sweet run on Broadway in Spring of 2011!
