You didn't seem so keen on my free speech right to call the bible a worthless pile of horse crap.
"Don't" Insult the bible
That sounded like an attempt to infringe my right to free speech.

It really annoys me when people use the 'Bible' or 'Free Speech', for arguments..
It is bad to insult someone elses religion.
At the same time, it is important to have free speech.
I think that rule is too flexible. (My free speech).

I am under age and live in Australia. I barely care who the priminister of Australia is..

But I do think the whole "Lets vote for Obama because he is black" thing is a bit ludicrous.. I dont care what people say. That is why most people are voting for him.
And also why people arent voting for him. I am so sick of racists..

Happy Halloweeeeen..

Honestly, does religion have ANYTHING to do with US Elections? Take your BS somewhere else...it's getting out of hand.

Also...Gavin, so you are saying anyone who doesn't vote for Obama is racist, but whoever does vote for him, votes for him because he is black. :? That makes no sense, but yet again...it's how it is now. I have a feeling that people in the south mostly will hate to have a black president. That's why there are assassination attempts now from them. {down}

sporty wrote:ok, i am not going to say anything about the two MAJOR running candidates, but jasonw, they aren't the only two running! There are SIX candidated running and if i can remeber they are Obama, McCain, Raph Nader, Robert Barr, Charles Baldwin, and Cynthia McKinney. THey all represent different parties and in one case, not party (nader). so maybe you could add them onto the ballot as even though they dont have a chance winning, they are still running. Plus, if you dont like either of the top two running then a vote for one of the other four is a vote AWAY form obama AND mccain...so yeah!

Hi there sporty,
Yes I am aware that their are more then two canidates for the elections. However, as peanut stated, I was just going for the majority vote. I do respect the other canidates too and some of them are very smart people. {thumb2} ;-)
Jason

Ok, thanks, just making sure ya knew they weren't the only ones running, as a lot people do think that! So in this/vote, GO MCCAIN! =] Good luck to both candidates i cannot believe the election is on tues!!!

No, not really...I don't know where the hell you are coming from, but religion isn't a part of politics nor the US Elections. Politics are a creation of man, not God. Those who bring it into politics are complete idiots...including Palin.

Sorry to be pedantic but politics and god are both a creation of man.

And if you seriously think religion isn't a part of US politics I am afraid you are seriously out of touch with how things work.

I'm not saying it should be. But it is and thats how things stand.

Religion, and race, have everything to do with politics in your country - I don't know how you can think anything to the contrary. Would the Republicans choose a presidential candidate who is an American Indian, who believes in the spirits of nature rather than a big man in the sky with angels at his feet?! No, because they'd lose the election immediately. Because, America wants a god-fearing Christian, nevermind people's human right to choose what they want to believe.

Would the Democrats choose a Sheik with a turbin wrapped round his head who again, didn't believe in the man in the sky with his angels? No, the Democrats would lose immediately, because America strictly want a Christian. Having an Atheist, Muslim, Hindu, Buddist or anything 'along those lines' would be to Americans, like having Vladimir Putin in charge.

Your country is run by fundamentalist Christians, and thus until you provide evidence that suggests otherwise, I can't believe that religion is not a massive factor in the U.S. On a lesser point of relevance, I'm shocked to see that teeny bopper superstar Zac Efron has achieved the fame he has when - shock horror - he's AGNOSTIC. He was raised without religion. I'm suprised the poor guy hasn't been burnt at the stakes yet!
AUTHENTIC, OR NOTHING AT ALL.
