IP with lead singer from JIGSAW - Had hit with Sky High?

I'm not putting this in the IP forum as it's not really relevent to what I have to say {thumb2}

Anyone remember JIGSAW and the handful of songs they released in the 70s? The reason I ask is because Des Dyer who sang lead is a regular performer at my local pub and I didn't even realise he was famous

I'm ashamed to say that although I knew of the band, I didn't have a clue that our Des was THE Des Dyer from Jigsaw! He sang Sky High in the bar last night and my friend Linda pointed out it was a song he'd actually written and had a hit with!!! I'm ashamed that I've been going to see his band Fingers N Fumbs for months, chatted to the guy and everything and never realised I had an autograph opportunity right under my nose

Has this ever happened to anyone else? And if so, did you feel like an idiot when you realised you had a celeb (albeit a minor one) right under your nose?

I'm afraid I'm not familiar with JIGSAW or Des, but how strange for you! :o Will you ask him for his autograph next time you see him?

I only know the song Sky High from radio play. It's a cool song but I've never followed Jigsaw. I wouldn't know what the band looked like or their names or anything. If Linda hadn't told me who Des was, I wouldn't have had a clue!

No, I wont ask for his autograph. I see him every month and chat to him so I don't feel like I need an autograph if that makes sense. However, if anyone else would like me to get an autograph for them, I will gladly ask on their behalf {thumb2}
