I sat in the lounge at work today and watched the Brits win gold in swimming! My boss was so happy that she forgot to tell me off for sitting on my ass!

don't get too cocky ;-) USA will come back! we got shawn johnson and nastia liukin.

this is just my opinion, but i really think china is using 2 underage girls. they barely look 12 and they caked on the makeup. i think to make them look older...? :?
12 years old
Can you name the "2 underage girls"?
Jason.

i'm not sure their names, but they're the two that usually go first and have all the eye makeup on. i'm not sure if they're really twelve but they look so young. bela karoyli said something about how he thinks the chinese are bringing underage girls into compete, but who knows. there shouldn't be an age limit for the olympics. and by the way so jealous you're there to watch it!! {up} :D

I've mainly been watching the swimming. I'm addicted!
Really rooting for Michael Phelps, Kirsty Coventry and Katie Hoff. I think Hoff has been so unlucky thus far so I hope she wins a gold.

And I agree about the Chinese girls looking underage. They looked really young, like about 12, and to be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if they are using underage competitors. I do think that there should be more age restrictions in place like over 14/15. I think kids any younger are unable to deal with the massive pressure and possibility of failure.

Speaking of young competitors, did anyone see Elizabeth Biesel from the US swimming?
Woah, she was fantastic!

I am so Olympic obsessed. I loved watching Misty May and Keri Welsh in beach volley ball, mens gymnastics, womens gymnastics and of course my michael phelps. I can hardly wait until tonight!

It's hard to judge the ages of chinese girls. I saw a Chinese acrobatic act at Blackpool Circus earlier this year and the girls in that looked about 1o years old! Obviously they were older or they wouldn't have been allowed to work in England, and I think one of the girls was married to another performer in the circus.

I don't know if any of you have been in gymnastics or have studied it a lot but i've done both and coached and gymnasts devolpe slower than other teenagers. In 2000 Russian gymnast Yekaterina Lobanzuk was 17 and looked like she was 10 so it is really hard to tell.

i've been in gymnastics as well for many years. it's just ironic that the two gymnasts with the most makeup are the youngest looking.

Thats true; gymnasts are usally shorter as they have to be very flexible.
