Agreed. Lena may not be bad singer but her song was stupid (can't use any other word). And her voice was average. In my opinion...LeeAnn wrote:I find eurovision winner's song dull and stupid, who could that song win at all?
I enjoyed maNga rock band from Turkey much! They had to win there!

Actually I'd say the opposite. The song is catchy with a good rhythm, but her voice is incomprehensible.ursha wrote:Agreed. Why does the Netherlands have to send the worst singers from our country, who looks like 40, but are 17 and with a song written by a 70 year old guy.

Re: EUROVISION Song Contest 2010
Better not to lose words about Slovenia...We were 38th out of all. Who was last one? There's only country that was worse than us. But it's kinda usual for us not to get into finale. We did few times but usually we don't get there so...I guess it's nothing special.

Re: EUROVISION Song Contest 2010
Well the reason Germany won was because the song was already a hit around the world. It had got to number 1 in a few countries. Don't know how!

It's the perfect pop song ... it's catchy, the lyrics don't make that much sense, etcetra etcetrajamesbondcollector wrote:Well the reason Germany won was because the song was already a hit around the world. It had got to number 1 in a few countries. Don't know how!
Re: EUROVISION Song Contest 2010
Well, I think she deserved to win, and I don't say that because I'm from Germany; in fact I almost never like the german songs on ESC; this time's different. Of course many contestants had better voices than Lena, but most of the songs this year were just *boring*... there was nothing new, I was like "okay, nice voice, but I heard this kind of song round about 1000 times before". That's why I liked the russian one too, though I wouldn't have wanted it to win, because it was too little rousing for a first place.
Lena might not have the best voice (though she CAN sing, for example Mr. Curiosity), but she's authentic and unique. And she sings catchy songs (I didn't like Satellite the first time I heared it but the more often I heared it the more I liked it ;))
But of course one cannot argue about taste ;)
My favourites, apart from Lena, were Spain, Greece and Russia.
Hated the song from France (sorry, I can only stand something like this with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.20 per cent and I NEVER drink! So that's problematic
) and the one from Britain (sorry again, but I had to hold my ears... contrary to "Satellite" this song wasn't supposed to be sung dissonantly... I guess
)
But that's just my opinion
