No More E-Mail Posting!

They shouldn't post them, but I have no problem if they send it as a PM. To be honest, even thru a PM, it should banned. You have to find the e-mails on your own.

I could definately be wrong here,but I dont think pms are/can be monitered, hence why they are ''private''.

Also, people should stop putting "email" in their topic titles. It only attracts those who are greedy and are looking for a free autograph.

and thats what i hate..at least every person i have i do support what they do: even if i buy their frangrance, buy the cd's, tours, merchandise, movies, blah, blah, blah, but i dont want a photo just to have a photo and i think thats gross and rude.

I don't think through the pm's they should be banned. If it is user to user it should be alright. I've asked a user on here for an email that worked for them and they've provided me a couple times the one they used. It is a friendly thing to do. But in the forums, no freaking way!

I wasn't going to respond to this, but I changed my mind......

First, let me tell you all a little bit about me-I'm a 37 year old MALE, with a wife who is handicapped and the father of 4 children(3 live with me here in KS, while the other one stays with my ex where I used to live in Florida). I don't work;I stay at home to take care of my wife and our 4 year old. We obviously live on a fixed income. I email celebrities because it doesn't cost anything. I still send LORs and SASEs on occasion.

Now, let me ask you a question, WildChild. I've posted a couple of successes that I've gotten from celebrities that you have also emailed, and it seems, correct me if I'm wrong, that you're upset that I've done so. Why? Is this not the Feedback section of the forum, where people post successes they have gotten from celebrities, whether thru email or snail mail?? What's the point of a Feedback section if OTHERS don't use the information given and ALSO contact the same celebrities for an autograph? Is it that you're the ONLY one that is supposed to email a particular celebrity, and no one else?? Same goes for you, Tabby. Are you the only one that is allowed to email a celebrity for a signature, and NO ONE else?? I mean really, what is the difference if I were to post a success from a celebrity that I got using an LOR and SASE, you saw it, then decided to write to that same celebrity for a signature yourself, and got one?? What's the difference?

I've said it over and over, but some people on here(TABBY)still don't get it and still hate me for it;I collect autographs from anybody and evrybody. If they have had 15 minutes of fame, I want their signature...PERIOD.. I've been doing this a lot longer than most of you have been alive. It's a hobby, which a lot of people are trying to ruin by bickering about emailing celebrities. As long as the email address is not posted in your post, then all is good. If you want to give it to someone thru a PM, why not? I tell you what though, I do hate when people post "Here's my success from so-and-so thru an email...I'm not giving it out so don't ask...NAH-NAH!!. That is SO stupid and childish. Just post you got the success via their website. If you don't want to give it out, fine...keep it to yourself. But don't ask others for email addresses, as has happened to me. If a celebrity responds to your email and says "I don't sign anymore because I've been emailed too much", oh well!! The same can happen if you send an LOR & SASE!! Celebrities are NOT obligated to sign!! Also, I've been told "Don't ask a celebrity for their signature if you're not a true fan"....So WildChild, are you a true fan of EVERYONE you have gotten a signature from? I've seen posts where you've said, "I have him too!" or "I got him a long time ago". Seems like you have an autograph from EVERY celebrity that someone posts a success about!! You're HONESTLY a fan of ALL these people??

So in closing, if you don't want another person to "steal your success", don't post, whether it's an email success or a LOR/SASE success, because you don't really expect no one else to write to that celebrity, do you?? I think some people on here really need to grow up as well, or maybe join another site??

so basically you're saying you don't care who it is, you just want their autograph. If you don't even know anything about the person and you're not a fan of them, why get it? That's taking advantage of people's kindness and generosity. Just because it's a free autograph you'll get it? That's SO wrong.
And yes, I've stopped posting my email successes because I got tired of people like you seeing it and taking advantage of the person. Every time I got one, you went out and got that same person, and I'm sure you had no idea who the person was.

Who the hell are you to say it's "SO wrong" what I do?? I know SOMETHING about every celebrity I've contacted....it's not difficult, since they're FAMOUS!! I'm not taking advantage of anyone....if they want to sign, they will, if not, they won't. Simple.

That tells me you dont care who you get, if you find someone you can email and it's free, you'll take it. That's taking advantage of people.
