Audio is adorable. When my puppy had fleas, we took her to the vet and they gave us this stuff that you put on her fur and it moves through the body and kills the fleas. I am not sure if they will give that to you since your puppy is so young.

Good Luck,
A.F. :D

Hi moo41 {up}

You certainly need to check out your local pet store :D There are plenty of worming tablets/compounds available which you can give safely to puppies from birth to deal with ringworm, roundworm, tapeworms etc.

Your bigger dog should be protected from fleas and ticks if you regularly use Frontline on him. Your new puppy can be Frontline treated from 8 weeks (see here: http://www.nextag.com/puppy-frontline/search-html )

In the UK we have a spray can thing (pretty expensive - around £13 / $24) called STAYKILL which you can treat your whole house with :D You just give each room a 5-10 second spray in the air and it kills all bugs/fleas/ticks within 1/2 and hour or so. You need to remove all fish/aquatic animals and empty the house of all people and other animals for an hour, but it really does the trick. I am sure you will have something similar in the USA? You don't need to put up with fleas on your dogs or in your house!!!!

Like whosurdaddy said, it will take your older dog a little while to become accustomed to your new puppy, but can you blame him? Suddenly a "youngster" has come on the scene and he feels a little bit threatened - attention-wise!!!! My best advice as a long-term dog and cat owner is to make as much fuss of the older resident as you can when they are together initially, and ignore your new puppy. This will enforce your love to your old dog, and support his position in the "pack". If you give attention to your new puppy in front of your old dog, he will understandably get pretty fed up!

Unfortunately your 'little one' will have to be bottom of the pile for a bit, until he is accepted by your big boy. Give them time and the older one will eventually become his best friend. Don't push it, and let them get on at their own pace!!!!

Believe me, it is you - not them who is worried about it. They are after a quiet life as much as you, so don't push - let them sort it out

Hope this helps!

well thanks alot guys for the information youve given me
it helps alot
uhm i talked to somebody about the whole worms/fleas thing and about it being illegal selling sick puppies but they told me that thats not what sick means
selling illegal puppies is like if the puppy has a bad leg or things like that... they said that its common for puppies to have that
i dont know cause other people have told me the opposite
and my older dog is taking ADVANTAGE for the fleas... every month since we've got him like 5 years ago
so hopefully he wont get them, even though i check his body to see if i find any
i dont know if im going to go as far as bombing the house or using spray for fleas
because most people told me that they dont think i need to because when a house is infected with fleas youll be able to see them like jumping out of the carpet, something like that
they nor i see fleas doing that
what my parents did was put baking soda throughout the whole house on the carpet for like 30 mins then vacuum
somebody told my mom to do that and my friend steph told me the same thing that itd kill the fleas
but im going to take peoples advice and take him to the vet for a check up soon even though my friend john (he actually had audio before me as stated previously) took him to the vet like last week but he doesnt remember what they told him
ill try to ignore my puppy when him and my older dog are together... i usually give all my attention to the puppy cause i want to watch him so he doesnt go pee everywhere

theres another question i have how do i punish him when he pees or poops on the carpet?
someone told me to put his face on his pee and tell him no!
and also... i cant get any sleep at night because after he sleeps for like 30mins he'll wake up and start crying... should i just let him cry?
i usually get up and attend to him, let him get out of his crate and pee on the newspaper
but it gets tiring...

hopefully like you guys said they'll get along and become friends :D
