Re: INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL???
I saw a full page spread in one of the newspapers with a list of good ratings, like "5 stars, amaxing...4 statrs quality...5 stars Indy's back with a bang" all that kind of nonsense.
Then I actually read a non-spoiler review and it said the film was garbage, a waste of time, and effectively spits on the first 3.
Guess I'll have to see it myself, as it looks like a film people will either love or hate, with no middle ground.

Oh so it's a Marmite film then.... you either love it or you hate it!!!!
If they left making the last Indiana Jones Another 19 years, he'll be 85..... any titles you can think of........ how about "Indiana Jones and the pension of Doom"
Sorry for me being so jokey, It's just 2 things that tickle me so much..... Harrison's age and the absolute fact that his making another one.
Please dont get me wrong his a great actor!!!! but more fitting roles please.

Saw it a while ago... oh dear...
Part of me thinks it was an average movie however I think they should have just left Indiana Jones alone. I don't think they should go for another....
I suppose I could tell you what I was expecting to get but it might give away too much...

I never seen the films not really my kind of films so won't see this film. I'm already getting tired hearing about it on TV/Radio and the theme tune is driving me insane. Says it will be a Summer Blockbuster don't think so

If you've never seen the films how can you pass judgement on whether or not it'll be a summer blockbuster?Euan Buchan wrote:I never seen the films not really my kind of films so won't see this film. The film will be a summer blockbuster based on the Indiana Jones name alone.
Re: INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL???
I saw it yesterday.
It thought it was a very good film and great entertainment but just didnt feel like an Indiana Jones film. I pretty much knew that however much money they threw at the film it wouldnt recreate an 80's style movie and maybe thats what I like about the first 3. Anyway in my opinion it was a good film in it's own right.

I know Sean Connery didnt come back for this film because he was asked if he would like to but said he was enjoying retirement so much but they killed his character off instead. I thought in The Last Crusade he drank from the holygrail therefore would live forever.
When i first heard Shia Labeouf was going o be in it I thought he would be Indiana's son. These rumours were denied but low and behold I knew it, he was afterall.
I didnt like Indiana getting married - I just wouldnt have though he ever would. I quite liked the very end though- although it had me worried that Shia's character woud put Indy's hat like passing down the sword - the last thing we need is a Young Indiana Jones series of Films.

Re: INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL???
Trouble is if you had Sean Connery in it, unlike in the last film, he looked old enough to be Indiana's dad, I'm not quite sure now.
I really think that the last one should have been made about 15 years ago, when Harrison could have got away way it.
66 is too old for the role, which would now suit an actor of around 45, maybe Tom cruise, if he was a little taller.

True. But remember what the Knight said about the Holy Grail??mymymy wrote:I thought in The Last Crusade he [Sean Connery] drank from the holygrail therefore would live forever.
"In order to live forever you must stay in this cave & never leave." I'm not sure if that's exactly how he put it, but it was something alonh those lines
