I looked up the Chinese athletes and they are certainly older than 12, lol.
But there is controversy surrounding the ages of three of the gymnasts who are believed to have falsified documents with the help of the Chinese government to make them appear old enough to compete.
They are listed as being 16 on their passports but the Chinese media and provincial sport authorities have previously reported them as being just 14 years old, two years below the Olympic age limit.
The International Olympic Committee is refusing to investigate these claims however saying it's a matter for the Gymnastics Federation.
Looks pretty shady to me. :/
