What kind of addresses are available over there? Via venue? I'm debating on trying it but i dont know.
It is a great resource, I have been using it for six years now, and wholeheartedly recommend it. It comes with a forum attached which has common sense in it because people pay to use the site you don't get the trolls who just come on to cause trouble. VV addresses do appear there, updated as new ones become available, but not so much filming addresses etc.

Worth a look at a decent price

How is she disgusting? That's incredibly rude.
Just a small example of what I was talking about. There is a lot of good on this site. I have also seen a lot of actual FANS of artists that have successes that they are SO elated to receive to only be crushed by unkind posters. My thought is this, if you are collecting for fan-ship and not profit, is it really necessary for these comments. There are collectors out there that do collect for the right reasons. I just find it silly to sit through 3+ pages of "this is a fake", "this is a preprint" etc. when it is not asked for. I would assume that people whom have collected even for short amounts of time, can use online resources to validate authenticity if so needed or wanted. If they can not do so, great...ask and be prepared for honest results (opinions). What is bothersome is when people take a success from an obviously elated individual and crush that for no reason. I myself stopped posting successes because of this type of behavior. Being that so many others are following suit, what resources will really be left of this site once everyone has a bad taste in their mouths from a few bad users. It can be like it was before when this was not an issue. Obviously the system works and would be more beneficial to everyone without the negativity. Be kind to one another is all I am saying.

My point of view, for what it's worth....

I'm an avid collector. I have never sold a single one of my autographs. However, I do NOT consider any pre-prints, autopens, or secs successes. I only want REAL authentic autographs. That's what my hobby is about... collecting real autographs. Nothing else. I want to inform others what they're getting. People spend A LOT of money on this hobby, so it would be a shame to see people waste money on things that clearly aren't real. This has nothing to do with selling autographs. It's a simple matter of the cost it takes to print out the photos and the cost of postage. It really can add up. I will always remain civil around here though. This is a hobby that I'm passionate about, but I refuse to name call and be nasty.

How can you "crush" someone who is happy at having a fake? If I had received something and was delighted with it, yeah I would be disappointed to find this out, but if it's a fake I would want to know. Some people don't present that correctly, but the levels of stupidity displayed on this forum sometimes are difficult not to respond to. Again, think about what you're saying... it's a public forum which is free to join, with no age restrictions. As such there will be immature people, there will be inexperienced people. It's the nature of the beast. The system, as you call it, works because people point out what is what, and are honest about it. I've got a shedload of experience, and I know a lot about this collecting lark... I have to because if I sell fakes, then it comes back to bite me in the butt. I have weaknesses, like USA sports etc, but others have that level of expertise and will post to that effect. Someone will inevitably lead to arguments, but again... that debate is part of the internet. Everyone has an opinion, some informed, some not. But if you think this is bad, check out some sports forums!

The most pertinent line in the above post though was without doubt "I myself stopped posting successes because of this type of behavior". It's your call if you don't want to post your successes, but given your post history shows a plea for help with international postage issues, arrogantly accusing a young man who is doing his best to use autographing for a charitable endeavour, and this rather spectacular post in the wrong forum section, I have to wonder why you are bothering posting this. I presume you're lurking in the background, taking what information you can get and not posting anything, again this is cool... hell you don't even have to register to read this forum, but if you're not going to put anything in, it somewhat undermines your ability to take the moral high ground on what others post. If you don't want to scroll through three pages of discussions (and again yes, I agree much of it borders on the ridiculous if not smashes straight through it and out the other side), then don't read them. Either skip them, or block the posters you don't want to read posts from and voila! I frequently see a line on pages I read along the lines of "This post was made by DiamondDave who is currently on your ignore list". It's fabulous, I don't have to put up with his trolling, and I have applied the same option to many others.

And no, I don't think your comment was "disgusting" as one other poster put it, and I don't think there was any need for them to make that comment. I'm with you on that 100%, but the rest... you're ranting for the sake of it, repeating what many others have said, and basically wasting your time in doing it.

Just FYI this is not the only account name I use. My partner and I share one for feedback. My "ranting" is done in hopes that people will stop and think for a minute before posting something that is not needed. There ARE collectors that are very happy to receive anything from the people they appreciate. There are also proper places to post authenticity related posts. I did post in the wrong forum by mistake, if good can come of it...not too bad of a mistake.

As for the costs related to autograph collecting, I agree they can be high. I would imagine that most people have the common since to research their requests and evaluate what they may or may not receive. Feedback in not the place for that. It is the place to say, I got something back and this is what I got. That is all. No opinions needed unless asked for.

On a side note, when I first started here, I had a fantastic success from Ron Jeremy that either Admin or the mods kept deleting with no explanation. Any idea why Ron, a man who promotes love, is inappropriate, but serial killers are acceptable successes?

I get when someone asks for authentication, HOWEVER...I think it is SO rude to offer it for no reason. It is almost like an "i'm better than you" sort of behavior. The reason for this site has been lost in the befuddlement of these types of ideas. "Telling the truth" is one thing, WHEN ASKED for. Your random comments that are not requested are nothing but bullying by hateful and spiteful negative spirited people. I truly hope site owners and mods will consider these points. They are leading to the downfall of this site, causing negative feelings towards its users and hurting the spirit and love of collecting autographs. Just my opinion but it really bothers me.

Amen. I honestly would recommend a ban if this continues. It's getting ridiculous.

Thanks for the rent free space.
How is that mod application coming Zaj? Or did you apply for Admin?
